Fenerbahçe turn the derby around: 3-1 against Eczacıbaşı, 22 points for Ana Cristina

Fenerbahçe Medicana beat Eczacıbaşı Peron İstanbul 3-1 on 25 October 2026 after losing the opening set. The second set was one of the turning points: a 27-25 win brought the hosts back into the contest.

The fifth-round Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi match took place at Burhan Felek Vestel Volleyball Hall. The set scores, from Fenerbahçe’s perspective, were 25-27, 27-25, 25-21 and 25-22. They have now won all four league matches they have played.

According to the club’s official figures, Ana Cristina De Souza led the team with 22 points. Melissa Vargas added 21, Arina Fedorovtseva 17 and Eda Erdem Dündar 14. A four-point run from 15-15 in the third set also helped establish control.

The attacking workload was shared across the team. Staying composed after narrowly losing the opening set and closing out the second under pressure laid the foundations for the comeback.
