Report links Kartal’s derby message to the ten-man victory
A press report says İsmail Kartal recalled the win on 19 May 2024. No independent recording of the current team talk has been verified.
A reported motivational message from İsmail Kartal has entered the derby build-up. Odatv, citing Sözcü, says the coach referred to Fenerbahçe’s away victory over Galatasaray on 19 May 2024. The alleged current team talk has not been verified through an independent audio or video recording.
The historic result is a separate fact: Fenerbahçe won 1-0 despite playing most of that match with ten men, with Çağlar Söyüncü scoring the winner.
The distinction matters. A documented result does not authenticate a new account of a private conversation. The present motivational message is therefore reported with attribution, not presented as an official statement or verified direct quotation. It also offers no certainty about the next derby.
