Goalkeeper Selikhov scores a free kick as Ural win 3-1 at Chelyabinsk

Aleksandr Selikhov changed the match with a free kick rather than a save. With Ural level at 1-1 away to Chelyabinsk on 25 October 2026, the goalkeeper found the top corner in the 87th minute to make it 2-1.

According to Ural’s official report, Ramazan Gadzhimuradov opened the scoring in the sixth minute of the Liga PARI matchday 15 fixture. Bertrand Fourrier equalised in the 70th. Both sides then lost a player to a second yellow card late in the game.

After Selikhov’s free kick, Italo made it 3-1 in the 90+3rd minute. The goalkeeper’s strike therefore proved to be the winning goal, and Ural moved to 28 points.

A goalkeeper taking an attacking role always carries a risk. This time, the quality of a set piece at a crucial moment made the difference.
