Toprak Razgatlıoğlu’s season ends as shoulder recovery takes priority
Toprak Razgatlıoğlu will miss the remainder of the 2026 MotoGP season with a shoulder injury. Surgery is planned for 26 October in Milan.
Toprak Razgatlıoğlu’s 2026 MotoGP season has ended early because of a shoulder injury. An announcement from Prima Pramac Yamaha confirmed that the Turkish rider would miss the remaining races.

Surgery and rehabilitation
Further examinations following his crash at the Indonesian Grand Prix led to a decision to operate. Surgery is planned for 26 October in Milan, followed by rehabilitation. Yamaha test rider Augusto Fernandez is expected to replace him for the remaining races.
Health comes first in the return
For me, the rider’s ability to return in good health takes priority over the results table. Quickly filling a gap in the race schedule and protecting long-term preparation are different considerations.
Rather than speculate on a return date, we should follow subsequent statements from the team and the rider. What is confirmed for now is that Toprak will not race again this season.
